I'm to far behind to try to catch up so we'll start from here.
The class crit with all the faculty is Friday and I'm close to ready. We have three assignments to present. A book done in a week, our first project. A 2d to 3d project for where we responded to an image, make a piece of art and responded to the next down the line, and a letterpress broadside. The book has been done for a few weeks and was discussed in class, the 2d-3d has had a work in progress crit, and the broadside is one run away from done.
To back up a bit, the schedule is more busy and grueling than I expected. Most classes are between 8:30 am and 7pm and we are expected to put in 10 hours a work on our scholarship duties. I'm spending most days here for about 10 hours each and spending one day a weekend in the studio. Of course there are lunch time talks and discussions and weekend events to fill up our free time.
The work is going well. It's been great getting on the press and I'm having fun with the 2d-3d project. I'll be doing some offset printing and some lithography before the term is over as well. Photos will come soon of the projects I've been working on.
